TIMBERTECH® decking a real success
Since ThyssenKrupp Plastics, a company of the Materials Services business area, added TIMBERTECH® to its product portfolio, sales of the material have gone from strength to strength. Major orders started coming in as soon as the product went on sale. One interesting reference project for example is the Main-Danube Park office complex in Nuremberg. The modern seven-story building is strikingly designed to look like a ship's hull. Its spacious terraces feature TIMBERTECH® decking in grey and chestnut, giving the custom-built structure an authentic wood-like appearance. In total 600 square meters of the model TWINFINISH was fitted in this attractive property.
TIMBERTECH® is also to be found further north, in the idyllic surroundings of a country castle hotel in Saxony-Anhalt. A gallery based on historical designs was built around the courtyard of the hotel in one of Germany's oldest preserved moated castles. For the flooring 1,000 meters of RELIABOARD cedar was used. This high-quality flooring blends in harmoniously with the 800 year old masonry of the listed Westerburg castle. ""We're really pleased that demand for TIMBERTECH® keeps growing and we can be involved in such exciting projects with our custom solutions,"" says Arno Fröhlich from the ThyssenKrupp Plastics sales team who won the order for the hotel.
Sales via ThyssenKrupp Plastics
TIMBERTECH® decking is sold via ThyssenKrupp Plastics and is available in three variants: solid-core RELIABOARD, in roughly the same price segment as hollow-core boards, TWINFINISH, which is particularly easy to install, and solid-core TERRAIN, which gives stains no chance. With its fine-textured and grained surface, the wood-plastic composite (WPC) combines the appearance of wood with the durability of plastic.
