In May 2017, the supervisory board of thyssenkrupp Materials Services GmbH decided on a target of 25% for the proportion of women on the supervisory board with a target achievement deadline of 30 June 2022. This minimum level of the proportion of women set by the supervisory board has been exceeded since fiscal year 2018/19. As of 30 June 2022, the Supervisory Board had three female members on the shareholder side and three female members on the employee side, resulting in a female share of 37.5%. With the resolution of 05 May 2022, the Supervisory Board decided on a target figure for the proportion of women on the Supervisory Board of thyssenkrupp Materials Services GmbH of 31.25% (five persons) and an implementation period until 30 June 2027.

For the Executive Board, the Supervisory Board had decided in May 2017 on a target of 0% women with a target implementation period until 30 June 2022. Since the appointment of Ilse Henne to the Executive Board of thyssenkrupp Materials Services GmbH on 01 January 2019, the proportion of women on the Executive Board has been 25%. By resolution of 05 May 2022, the Supervisory Board resolved a target figure for the proportion of women on the Executive Board of thyssenkrupp Materials Services GmbH of 25% (one person) and a deadline for implementation by 30 June 2027.

In June 2017, the Executive Board had set the target for the proportion of women at the first and second management levels below the Executive Board of thyssenkrupp Materials Services GmbH at 23.5% for the first management level and 12.9% for the second management level, with a target achievement deadline of 30 June 2022 in each case. As of 30 June 2022, the proportion of women at the first management level below the Executive Board was 36.36% and at the second management level below the Executive Board 30.56%. The targets for the first and second management levels were thus exceeded.

The Executive Board of thyssenkrupp Materials Services GmbH has also set itself the goal for the future of at least maintaining and further increasing the proportion of women in management positions. In a resolution of 21 March 2022, it therefore set a target of 36.36% (four persons) for the first management level and a target of 30.56% (eleven persons) for the second management level below the Executive Board and a target achievement deadline of 30 June 2027.
