New products from thyssenkrupp Infrastructure
thyssenkrupp Infrastructure GmbH is one of the leading providers of civil, marine and foundation engineering services for infrastructure projects around the world. The specialists from Materials Services have further expanded their portfolio to better meet the requirements of their customers.
Dietmar Jürges, CEO of thyssenkrupp Infrastructure: “We see ourselves as a full-service supplier to the construction industry. We support and advise our customers all the way, developing solutions precisely tailored to the job in hand. For this we can rely on the expert support of our own consulting engineers. We provide our customers with all the products and services they need to execute their projects.”
RTG pile driving equipment
Since 2018 thyssenkrupp Infrastructure has been an exclusive partner to RTG Rammtechnik GmbH, a subsidiary of the BAUER Maschinen group for Germany, Austria and Denmark. RTG’s pile driver range includes machines of different sizes which in combination with a wide range of carriers cover a wide spectrum of applications. They include high-frequency vibrators with resonance-free start-up and shut-down, press systems, diesel and hydraulic hammers, and rotary drives for predrilling and for on-site drilling applications with single or double-head systems. All attachments are interchangeable – using the ACS automatic coupling system in just a few minutes.
The core function of all models is the vibration driving of sheet piles, steel beams and pipes. In addition pile drivers are also used as carriers with various attachments in other applications such as driving with diesel or hydraulic hammers, pressing, drilling, or for soil mixing. Further advantages include outstanding mobility due to low transportation weight, effective noise protection through encapsulation of the vibrator housing and engine compartment, and excellent safety standards by largely avoiding the need for manual work on the unit. These safety standards will be further boosted by the introduction at bauma of an automatically folding auxiliary winch that does away with the need for manual work on the winch during preparation for transportation. Effective use of engine capacity (EEP) and optimized hydraulic components also allow fuel savings of up to 20%.
Bodo Berendt, head of the Machinery division: “In Germany we have regional sites with hire equipment. That means we are close to our partners and can respond quickly to customer requests. We also monitor the machine data of the RTG hire machines online, which allows us to plan maintenance and service in advance. That means downtimes on site are largely avoided or reduced to a minimum.”
GIKEN silent pilers
GIKEN silent pilers are developed and manufactured in Japan. They are the machines of choice for vibration-free installation of sheet piles and pipes. In Germany these machines are hired out and distributed exclusively by thyssenkrupp Infrastructure. Their widespread use over the last few years documents the advantages of this technology, also under local conditions in Germany. At bauma, thyssenkrupp Infrastructure will be displaying a GIKEN Silent Piler from the latest F series. This machine is capable of driving double Z and double U-pile sections in widths up to 1,416 mm. The clamps for the reaction piles are freely adjustable, allowing the piler to be used on up to 40 different pile sections without mechanical conversion.
müller vibrators
müller free-riding and excavator-mounted vibrators are developed and produced by thyssenkrupp Infrastructure. Research and development work at the company has allowed the range of excavator-mounted vibrators with side grip to be completed and optimized. This includes a revised pivot and swivel mechanism that allows maximum maneuverability for the vibrator on the excavator stick. As a result even lighter excavators with lower hydraulic power can carry müller side grip vibrators, e.g. the MS 4-HFB SG. Among other things, that makes excavator-mounted applications possible on rail track beds. A new, flexible pipe clamp suitable for a wide diameter range further extends the application spectrum for müller side grip vibrators.
