Markus Bistram

Responsible for Human Resources.

Markus Bistram began his career in 1978 at thyssenkrupp group at the time Thyssen Stahl AG, where he worked until 1997. At every stage of his career there he was an employee representative – first as a young employee and apprentice representative, later on the company works council and then the Group works council. In 1994 he was elected member of the Supervisory Board of Thyssen Stahl AG. In 1997 Bistram moved to ISPAT Stahlwerk Ruhrort GmbH where he worked in human resources. In the same year he was elected to the company's Supervisory Board. From 1999 to 2005 he also held various positions as employee representative of ISPAT Germany GmbH, among other things as Chairman of the Group Works Council and as member of the Supervisory Board Executive Committee.
In 2000 Bistram was elected to the European Works Council of ISPAT Europe Group SA.

From February 2005 to September 2009 Markus Bistram was trade union secretary on the Düsseldorf Executive Committee of IG Metall and held various supervisory board seats in the thyssenkrupp Group.

Effective October 1, 2009 Markus Bistram was appointed member of the Materials Services business area management team and member of the thyssenkrupp Materials Services GmbH Executive Board.
