Pilot "real,-” store realized with support from thyssenkrupp
The German hypermarket chain "real,-” has been offering gastronomic-quality products at its Krefeld "Markthalle” store since the end of November 2016: fresh and handmade in front of customers. The store displays a consistent image - and thyssenkrupp Plastics has played a role in creating the impressive look. From planning through to realization, the company's sales team was intensively involved and provided competent advice. The plastics experts supplied Trespa® Meteon® in a wood finish for both the interior and exterior.
Facade and fish section in TRESPA® METEON®
One glance at the facade is enough to recognize the material used. Panels in the Loft Brown color tone give the outer skin a high-quality wood-look finish. This impression is reinforced by the invisible panel fastenings. They were carefully bonded to ensure durability and a rivetless appearance. The company Ernst Weirich was responsible for this successful project.
Anyone who enters the store and heads for the fish section will also come across Trespa® Meteon®: set into the wall behind the sushi bar and in the rear wall and front panel of the fresh fish counter. The Woodstone finish ensures a premium wood look in the interior, underlined by the grooves in the material which give the impression of planking. The joiners Marek were responsible for the successful realization.
Winning product properties
In both applications, the varied properties of Trespa® Meteon® offered a winning package. As a facade element, its ease of cleaning and impact and fracture resistance in particular were important arguments in favor of the material. For the special interior application, the food-safe and moisture-resistant properties of the product ultimately proved decisive.
real,- presents its new food lover concept in the store, which includes artisan food production facilities. Literally all fresh products can be prepared into dishes in the in-store kitchen areas. And customers can watch it happening. real,- will continue to systematically roll out its "food market” brand and open further stores employing this concept following thorough analysis.
